Description

The Sterile Processing Educator will be responsible for developing and delivering education programs, training sterile processing staff, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role requires hands-on experience as a sterile processing technician, a deep understanding of sterilization techniques and infection control practices, and the ability to effectively communicate and educate others.

Required Qualifications:

• Upon hire: National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association, or



• Upon hire: National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution



• Within 1 year of hire: National Certified Instrument Specialist - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association, or



• Within 1 year of hire: National Certified Surgical Instrument Specialist - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution



• 5 years hands-on sterile processing/Instrument tracking experience.



• 3 years related experience in the health care field and/or education experience with groups and individuals.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Healthcare or related field



• Master's Degree in Healthcare or related field



• Upon hire: Certified Healthcare Leader - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association, or



• Upon hire: Management in Sterile Processing - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution



• Upon hire: Certified Endoscope Reprocessor - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association, or



• Upon hire: Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution



• Education can be replaced with 6 years of sterile processing educator/leadership experience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
