As an Associate Director supporting operational initiatives, you will work closely with management to advance Discovery Researchs strategic agenda and support mission-critical initiatives that will make a real difference for AbbVies pipeline. You will report to the Director of Operational Excellence, as part of Discovery Research Strategy, Portfolio, and Operations

Responsibilities:

• Supportidentifyingstrategicinitiatives that willenhanceoperationalproductivityand positionDiscovery Researchfor future success
• Monitor, understand,and prioritize external trends of relevance to theDiscovery Research, and helpdeterminehowthe organizationshould prepare and/or respond
• Provide project management support for key strategic planning processes
• Lead individual modules within complex, cross-functional initiatives, including driving the problem-solving process and supporting research and analytics, and distilling pragmatic recommendations for management consideration
• Partner withthebusiness to implementrecommendations endorsed by management

• Bachelors degreerequired; MBA or other advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Medicine, Sciences, etc.) preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience at a top-tier strategic consulting firm, preferably with healthcare andpharmaindustry experience
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to lead individual modules within complex, cross-functional initiatives, including driving the problem-solving process and supporting research and analytics, and distilling pragmatic recommendations for management consideration
• Highly collaborative, genuinely enjoys workinghand-in-handwith the businesses to develop solutions that advance AbbVies overall mission
• Strong communicationskills,can comfortably lead meetings with mid/senior-level management
• Sound business judgment
• Drive, energy, and passion to advanceDiscovery Researchs pipeline
