We are seeking a dynamic Senior Process Improvement Engineer to spearhead operational excellence within our manufacturing value stream. In this role, you’ll lead, coach, and develop a specific production area, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are met while cultivating a culture of continuous improvement.<h2></h2><h2>Position</h2>Senior Process Improvement Engineer<h2></h2><h2>Location</h2>USA, Louisville, KY<h2>How You'll Create Possibilities</h2>Manufacturing Operations<ul><li>Lead and optimize performance within a designated production area, driving improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost</li><li>Oversee maintenance, continuous improvement, and overall efficiency of equipment across production lines and fabrication areas</li><li>Support the Operations Manager and coordinate daily production start-up to ensure lines are operational, properly staffed, and running smoothly</li><li>Monitor and analyze production and fabrication data to identify performance gaps and ensure effective communication across shifts</li><li>Implement and sustain lean manufacturing practices and standardized work to maintain process stability</li><li>Coach equipment operators and Team Leaders to ensure adherence to established processes and standards</li></ul>Continuous Improvement<ul><li>Lead problem-solving efforts and root cause analysis to address inefficiencies within the production area</li><li>Facilitate kaizen events and implement countermeasures to improve manufacturing line performance</li><li>Champion the Appliance Production System and promote a culture of continuous improvement</li></ul>Leadership & Administration<ul><li>Provide leadership and direction to team members, ensuring consistent and fair application of policies, procedures, and work rules</li><li>Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to plan and execute long-term equipment and process improvement projects</li><li>Ensure accurate and timely completion of payroll, disciplinary documentation, and other administrative responsibilities</li><li>Partner with Human Resources on employee relations and disciplinary matters</li></ul>Quality & Safety<ul><li>Ensure all products meet quality specifications and uphold established quality standards across the production line</li><li>Lead quality reviews, track defects, and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve production issues</li><li>Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with Lockout/Tagout procedures, proper PPE usage, leading incident investigations, and implementing corrective actions</li></ul><h2>What You'll Bring to Our Team</h2><ul><li>5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with emphasis on manufacturing engineering, maintenance, and project execution</li><li>Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) required or in progress, preferably in Engineering or a related field</li><li>Experience working with or leading metal fabrication and/or automated equipment operations</li><li>Six Sigma certification preferred, with strong knowledge of Lean, DMAIC, and continuous improvement methodologies</li><li>Proven track record of driving results using analytical problem-solving, project planning, and cross-functional teamwork</li><li>Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing principles in an operational setting</li><li>Leadership experience or technical expertise in areas such as manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, materials management, quality, procurement, or fulfillment</li><li>Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels, including maintaining positive union relations</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines</li><li>High level of initiative, energy, and motivation, with a commitment to team success and professional growth</li><li>Demonstrated technical proficiency in manufacturing or operations environments</li><li>Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills</li><li>Strong problem-solving abilities with consistent follow-through on initiatives</li><li>Experience facilitating and leading team-based projects</li><li>Willingness to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment, including occasional off-shift, on-call, and weekend work</li></ul><h2>Our Culture</h2>Our work is centered on our People and Culture as reflected in our Zero Distance philosophy and we recognize the importance of reaffirming our commitment to inclusion and diversity (I&D).
